De leiders in het Belcar Endurance Championship, Marc Goossens en Maxime Soulet hebben dit weekend met een tweede positie hun positie bovenaan het kampioenschap nog verstevigd. Na het tweeluik op Circuit Zolder telt het CPL Trans-duo nu vijf punten meer dan Longin-Maassen (R8 LMS) en elf eenheden meer dan Verbergt-Van Hooydonk (DBR9). Naast de knappe tweede plek en de positie bovenaan de puntenstand, zette Marc Goossens in de RoundUp Porsche 911 GT3-R tijdens de kwalificaties op zaterdag een nieuw ronderecord voor de klasse GT3 neer.

In this second Belcar weekend the leaders in the Belcar Endurance Championship, Marc Goossens and Maxime Soulet made a point of confirming their second slot in the championship. Following on from Circuit Zolder the CPL Trans-duo is now five points clear of Longin-Maassen (R8 LMS) and some eleven units ahead of Verbergt-Van Hooydonk (DBR9). On Saturday during the qualifying sessions Marc Goossens at the wheel of the RoundUp Porsche 911 GT3-R set up a new lap record for the GT3 generation.

De leiders in het Belcar Endurance Championship, Marc Goossens en Maxime Soulet zien we komend weekend opnieuw aan het werk op Circuit Zolder, de omloop waar ze twee weken eerder met de CPL Trans Porsche 911 GT3-R de eerste zege van 2011 behaalden. Ditmaal is het WTCC, het WK voor toerwagens, de gastheer voor een race over twee uur. De kwaliteiten van de Porsche 911 GT3-R rijmen met de Limburgse omloop en dus zouden we het RoundUp duo opnieuw vooraan moeten zien…

This time around the Belcar event will take on a “125 minutes” race format with the arrival of the WTCC, the World Touring Car Championship. Under a blue sky and bright sunshine Marc and Maxime realized the 3rd fastest qualifying time for the opening round of the Belcar Endurance Championship 2011 on the circuit of Zolder. During the first 30-minute qualifying session they drove a lap of 1:31.810, which resulted in a provisional 3rd place on the starting grid. In the afternoon, during the 2nd part of the qualifications, they improved their lap time to 1:31.344, but kept the same position in the rankings. Continue Reading »

Onder een blauwe hemel en een stralende zon realiseerden Marc en Maxime de 3de snelste kwalificatietijd voor de openingsmanche van het Belcar Endurance Championship 2011 op het circuit van Zolder. Tijdens de eerste, 30 minuten durende, kwalificatiesessie reed het duo een chrono van 1:31.810, goed voor de 3de plaats.
