Last week, there was a pre season test session at Sebring in order to prepare for the first race of the ALMS season, the Sebring 12h. The test session was held on February 22nd-23rd. The JaguarRSR team was also present of course. They were testing with the second built XKR GT2.

The pieces to the puzzle keep coming together for the JaguarRSR race program as the team announced that Ryan Dalziel has been signed to the driver line up for competition in the 2010 American Le Mans Series.

Today there was a press conference in Le Mans in which the return of Jaguar to the iconic Le Mans was announced. The JaguarRSR XKR GT2 is confirmed by the ACO for the 24 hours of Le Mans in 2010 – the 75th year of Jaguar. Marc will team up with Scott Pruett for the top event of endurance racing.

The cooporation between Marc and JaguarRSR at the end of last season will be extended. After the season finale of the 2009 ALMS season, Marc will also compete the complete 2010 ALMS championship with the #33 JaguarRSR XKR GT.

Also on raceday, the Jaguar still experienced some issues during the warm-up and also during the race.

Because of some loss of horse power caused by a sensor failure, the RSR team decided not to start in the qualification session and give the car a complete check out. This means the Jaguar XKR GT2 will start from the back of the grid for the race.
