Tijdens het weekend van 30 en 31 juli vinden de 24h van Spa Francorchamps. Ook dit jaar zal Marc er deelnemen samen met Maxime Soulet en Jan Heylen. De eerste foto’s van de auto met de livery voor de 24h kan je hier zien.
During the weekend of July 30th-31st, the 24h of Francorchamps is organized. This year Marc will participate together with Maxime Soulet and Jan Heylen. The first pictures of the livery of the car can be found below.

Imola (I) – At Imola, where the third round of the “Le Mans Series” was on the programme, ProSpeed Competition definitely deserved a better result than their sixth place in LM GTE. For a long time the CPL Trans Porsche 911 RSR of Marc Goossens and Marco Holzer kept on par with the other Porsche 911 in the LM GTE/Pro class, and this until a flat tyre, which also caused a damaged brake lead, kept the car in the pits for several minutes. Finally Marc Goossens and Marco Holzer fought their way back up from a place just hovering outside the top-10 through to a sixth place, scoring the necessary points for this championship. The “Le Mans Series” will now enjoy a two months summer recess, prior to the Prototypes an GT’s heading off for Silverstone, where ProSpeed Competition scored a podium in the GT class in 2010.

Could the 6 Hours of Imola, third round of the ”Le Mans Series”, be the meeting for revenge? Probable. Having frequented the Top 3 in the GT category during the recent 24 Hours of Le Mans, ProSpeed Competition quite proved it ambitions. The Belgian team’s package on hand in Italy looks to be more powerful than the one at the beginning of the year. Marc Goossens and Marco Holzer, the drivers defending the CPL Trans anf GrafiWrap colours, intend to take full advantage of this and cash in on the performances of their Porsche 911 GT3 RSR #75.

After 2 races in Zolder, the 3rd round of the Belcar Endurance Championship was held at the circuit of Spa-Francorchamps. The regular Belcar-competitors were joined by renowned teams like Vita4One, Faster Racing by DB Motorsport, Reiter Engineering an MS Racing, who all entered the Belgian championship to prepair the upcoming Total 24 Hours of Spa. Their cars competed in the GT3-class and could score points for the Belcar-championship. The race was held in the context of the “12 Heures de Spa”, a race that counted for the BTCS-championship and that was won by Marc in 2009.

Na 2 wedstrijden in Zolder werd de 3de manche van het Belcar Endurance Championship op het circuit van Spa-Francorchamps betwist. Het reguliere deelnemersveld werd versterkt met gerenomeerde teams als Vita4One, Faster Racing by DB Motorsport, Reiter Engineering en MS Racing, die de Total 24 Hours of Spa kwamen voorbereiden. Deze wagens reden in de GT3-klasse en konden punten voor het Belcar-kampioenschap scoren. De wedstrijd werd in het kader van de “12 Heures de Spa”, meetellend voor het BTCS-kampioenschap, gehouden. In 2009 won Marc deze BTCS-race.

iBird, ProSpeed Competion’s fourth artistic livery, did not miss out on its appointment for these 24H of Le Mans, the mythical car endurance race. iBird was on the way to claiming a place on the podium of the highly contested GT2 Pro category, when at 5 o’clock in the morning two technical repairs hampered its progress. Having created quite a stir with the unveiling of one of the most beautiful livery of this 2011 edition, ProSpeed Competition also clinched the 36th Escra Prize, awarded to the best technical assistance team of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

iBird, de vierde artistieke invulling van ProSpeed Competition, heeft zijn afspraak met de 79ste editie van de 24 Uur van Le Mans, de meest mytische autosportwedstrijd ter wereld, niet gemist. iBird maakte aanspraak op een podiumplaats tot 5 uur ‘s morgens toen twee technische interventies een einde maakten aan de podiumaspiraties van het Belgische team. ProSpeed Competition zorgde in Le Mans niet enkel voor de mooiste decoratie, streed ook lang voor het podium en ontving tot slot de 36ste Prix Escra, de prijs die de beste technische assistentie van de wedstrijd beloont.

By entering iBird in the upcoming 24 Hours of Le Mans, ProSpeed Competition is demonstration the importance of creativity which stimulates the Belgian team, double European FIA GT2-FIA GT3 champions. iBird will become ProSpeed Competition’s fourth artistic livery in the motorsport world. iBird, a work produced by Loïc Poncelet, is a masterly and colourful interpretation of the cohesion between nature and modern technology, cohesion which is essential when it comes performing brilliantly in a motorsport environment. iBird will be in the capable hands of three highly homogenous drivers: Belgian Marc Goossens; Marco Holzer the official Porsche Motorsport driver and the fast Dutchman Jaap van Lagen. iBird will be unveiled on Monday 6th June at 16.10hrs, on the Place des Jacobins, during the scrutineering… as also on the internet, to be discovered at www.iBird.info.

Door met iBird aan de start van de 24 Uren van Le Mans te verschijnen, onderstreept ProSpeed Competition, voormalig kampioen in FIA GT2 en FIA GT3, het belang van creativiteit in topsport. iBird is meteen de vierde artistieke invulling van een autosportwedstrijd door ProSpeed Competition. iBird is een werk van Loïc Poncelet en laat zich omschrijven als een magistrale interpretatie van de verstandhouding tussen natuur en techologie, een samengaan dat onontbeerlijk is om in de autosport te slagen. iBird zal toevertrouwd worden aan een bijzonder homogeen trio, met name de Belg Marc Goossens, de officiële Porsche Motorsport-rijder Marco Holzer (Dui) en de snelle Nederlander Jaap van Lagen. iBird wordt onthuld op maandag 6 juni om 16u10 op de Place des Jacobins, tijdens de traditionele technische controle, alsmede via internet op www.iBird.info.
